If you don't want Stake Energy or anyone marketing on our behalf to approach you to sell energy, you can ask to be added to our No Contact List. This statement is published in line with rule 65 of the National Energy Retail Rules.
Stake Energy and Macarthur Energy Retail Pty Ltd, the AER-authorised retailer and retailer of record, maintain a No Contact List. If your name, address, phone number or email is on that list, we will not contact you — and will instruct anyone marketing energy on our behalf not to contact you — for the purpose of marketing energy products and services.
It does not stop us from contacting you about an existing account (e.g. bills, service messages, hardship support, life support reviews, fault notifications, regulatory disclosures), or from responding to an enquiry you have made.
It's free, and you don't need to be a customer. You can register through any of the following channels:
You can also tell any of our representatives during a marketing approach that you wish to be added — we are required to record this on the spot, end the contact and not approach you again.
Your entry on the list is permanent unless you ask us to remove it. We allow up to 30 days for any in-flight marketing campaigns to honour your request, but most channels (telemarketing and SMS) will stop within 5 business days.
You can ask to be removed at any time using the same channels above. We will remove you within 5 business days. Removing yourself does not by itself sign you up to receive marketing — we will only ever send marketing communications with your express consent.
You can also use these national, free, government-run registers, which apply to all marketers (not just energy retailers):
